  • Introducing “Our Thoughts”

Dear Visitor. It is with great pleasure that I introduce our new comments page called “Our Thoughts”. From time to time we will add new questions to elicit your thoughts on various subjects. You may add your thoughts as a comment, and you may comment on other’s comments. In addition, from time to time I will add my own thoughts on what I think may be of interest to you.

We would like to see this feature become a part of the new national conversation regarding this latest turn in the Black Saga. Thank you so much for participating and visit our site frequently.

    1. Dear Dr. Christian,
I think your Black Saga club is awesome! What they teach us at school isn’t half the story! i’ve learned so much and made so many friends. Schools just kinda tell you “slavery is bad” but it’s so much worse than bad! i also think this club helps african americans understand their race better. (i’m caucasion) This club is so fun because you get study with friends and come up with crazy ways to study. (Trust me. me and my friends have come up with some very, very, crazy ways to study!) And you get to compete, with other kids your ways, and me and my teamates (we’re Cockeysville Middle’s B Team) always look foward to yelling “What time is it?” “Black Saga Time!!!”
      Thank You So Much

    2. Dear Dr. Christian,
I’ve been looking over your website a little more closley and noticed that you only have competion levels for Elementary and middle School. What about High School? Are you going to expand and include them too? I’m only in Middle school and have a couple years until high school, but i really want to pursue black saga.

    3. Dear Dr. Christian,
I just reacently moved from Kansas and i know many friends there who would want to join a club like this. You should try and promote it all around the US. You could have a couple of Black Saga teams help you advertise with posters, commercials, or other things.

    5. Dear Dr. Christian,

Congratulations on another well-run competition. I applaud your fair but firm handling on a somewhat difficult situation during the elementary award ceremony. I also want to congratulate the six young students in first and second place. They not only impressed me with their knowledge during the competition, but also put their sympathy for the losing team and their respect for the organizers on display while they waited patiently for issues to be resolved. All students, parents and teachers who learned something through the black saga experience are winners. I am sure most can quote the words of wisdom from Jesse Owens – The battles that count aren’t the ones for gold medals. The struggles within yourself … that’s where it’s at. These students actually drew the wisdom from these words. Kudos to Dr. Christian and organizers for another year of great learning and your emphasis on fair play so that all can win.
