  • Your Thoughts on the Inauguration of President Barack Obama

As history unfolds before the eyes of the world, this is what the ‘Barack Obama Experience’ means to me: An opportunity for me to cry; a chance for me to reveal; and a chance for me to reflect on my life; and a chance for all of us to grow. Please give us your thoughts.

    2. It was a great time in the history of this country and we are expecting great things from you. Will you help solve the crisis in education? Will you get rid of NCLB law? It is doing a major dis-service to our young people.

    3. Two years ago, I was a participant in Black Saga. To even think that a black president would be before our country in such a fast period never occurred to me. We(the Obama committee of Hanover) were in one of their house, y’know with MSNBC on a computer, the TV in the pool room, and the TV on in the living room. We would scream, and clap when he won a state, but the last time someone screamed. . . it was little. I think someone said, ”Oh my God.” We strolled in, and the TV it read: BARACK OBAMA CNN PREDICTED ELECTED PRESIDENT 2008. It was like, ”What?!” We knew it was probably going to happen, but I think it just made us take a triple-quad take! Nearly all of the females except for my mother cried. We waited, what—lots of minutes—-until he made his speech. I remember a tear, and a woman saying, ”You can become whoever you want. You can do anything. Go to college, become whatever you want, now.” And I’ve stuck to it ever since. I bawled, because it was so unreal. Everyone says I’m going to become president….well, I know thats possible Obama has inspired me so. I’ve expressed much in my very McCain-oriented school. He proved to me that, you don’t have to be a vet and you dont have to be of a specific class to become Commander in Chief. Obama is classy and has such swagger, it’s mind blowing. Obama has a list of duties, and he will check each off of his list as he goes. Now, I’ve realized that Yes, he wants change, and that it won’t happen January 21 and our economy will be up…we’ll be outta Iraq. It could take years, to the end of his term…but I admire how he still knows that there are things to be done, and that as though we may never get those down ASAP, we WILL get it done. It will be like building a pyramid. The masterpiece is in the hard work. The hard work, in the patience and cooperation of the years and time…and people. Obama is sort of trying to camouflage himself in with the people, yet he still wants you to know that he IS still in charge. Obama’s like: Listen, I may be a Democrat and I may not be your favorite…but we;re gonna get this done, and I’m going to work with you as much as I can.” . Are my eyes and my brain functioning right? Is my body deceiving me? But, nothing is. It’s just him. He’s not the antichrist but he simply Barack!!

I’m so happy an African American has become President, especially Barack Obama, i think he’s going to bring a lot of good change, and i’m even happier that this historic event occurred during my life time. i think doctor Christian should invite Michelle Obama to the Awards Dinner that occurs after the state competion.
